When In Tokyo...

This blog is a space to keep track of the year I will spend in Japan. Look forward to pictures, rants, and raves of all things Japanese. I'll also link up to a few other blogs. Please leave me a comment here and there to let me know you're still alive and reading.

Three weeks and two weekends left...

Alright! Things are getting closer and closer. I've been trying to study as much as I can to keep all the Japanese I learned at UGA in my head. I've got to do well on the placement test(which I have to take the day after I get in to Tokyo) or I wont get course credit for my Japanese class. I'm nervous about the test but I've still got three weeks to study.

The other thing I'm really nervous about is meeting my family. I meet them the day I get in and I may have to find my own way to there house from the airport. As of right now I only know there names and ages. I'm really excited and mostly I just hope they like me(I'll be like a two year old and what isn't loveable about a two year old?).

I leave Atlanta on September 15th but I will be spending the following 3 days in San Fransisco visiting Scott Sherman, the old pastor from Intown(whom I adore), and his family. I've never been to California so it's like a little pre-adventure before I get to Japan. Excellent. I will actually arrive in Tokyo at 5:05 pm on September 19th.

And a final note: I was origionally going to draw an image to use as a layout (I'd have gotten Rachel to make the layout) but I just havn't had the time or focus to do so. Plus I'd have to distract Rae from her studies. Instead I'm just going to leave this possibility out there: Once I've put up some pictures from Japan, if anyone sees one that would be perfect for a layout then feel free to make one and I will gladly use it. Until then I will be using the happy polk dots as my layout! (ahem..rachel...!)

Peace
